Flying High with Chris Hemsworth – My Latest Drone TVC Work for El Corte Inglés
There are some projects that stick with you—not just for the scale or the client, but for the experience. My latest drone shoot for the new El Corte Inglés TV commercial is definitely one for the books. Not only was I lucky enough to be part of an incredible crew, but I also got to fly above some stunning locations with none other than Chris Hemsworth in front of the lens.
The Project
El Corte Inglés pulled out all the stops for their latest TVC. Big concept. Big production. And of course—big names. When you’re working with a global icon like Chris, every detail matters. Precision, timing, and seamless coordination were key—and that’s where the drone team came in.
From wide cinematic flyovers to dynamic movement tracking with Chris surfing, our goal was to bring energy and elegance to the screen while keeping the tech invisible. The drone had to be an extension of the camera department—fluid, responsive, and totally in sync with the director’s vision.
The Tech
For this shoot, we ran the DJI Inspire 3 with X9 camera, Craig was locking down those buttery-smooth tracking shots. The versatility of the Inspire 3 gave us everything from agile close-ups to sweeping aerials, capturing the landscape and Chris’s performance in all its glory.
The Vibe on Set
Chris was a total pro—focused, grounded, and up for anything. Despite the scale of the production, there was a relaxed, collaborative energy on set. Everyone brought their A-game, and it made a massive difference. There's nothing better than working with people who are not only talented but genuinely love what they do.
Final Thoughts
This shoot was more than just another job—it was a chance to be part of something creative and high-impact, alongside one of the most recognisable faces in film. I’m beyond proud of the drone footage we captured.
